Introduction to the Precise Preview Feature in LaserMaker

Introduction to the Precise Preview Feature in LaserMaker

Preface

In practical laser processing operations, if the full-frame preview accuracy of the equipment's top cover camera fails to meet precise positioning requirements, LaserMaker's "Precise Preview" feature provides a targeted optimization solution.

Specific steps

  1. First, ensure that your machine and LaserMaker are successfully communicating.

For methods on how machines and LaserMaker successfully establish communication, you can refer to this article.

  1. Then, place a material on the honeycomb bed and complete autofocus on the touch panel.

  1. After that, click the "Full Preview" feature in the software to update the overlay.
Notes
If this is the first time you connect to this device, you will need to either import the camera calibration file or perform camera calibration manually. For detailed steps, please refer to the attached article.

  1. Next, add the pattern you want to process and its position to the canvas.
Notes
To visually demonstrate the application effect of this feature, this example will set up two shapes of identical size and dimensions. By comparing them, it will clearly show the difference before and after enabling the Precise Preview feature.

  1. Then send the file to the machine for processing.
Notes
Please note that the "Start From" must be set to "Absolute Coords".

  1. Once that's done, click the "Full Preview" feature in the software again to update the overlay.

After updating the canvas, we can observe that both left and right arrows exhibit deviations between the canvas and the actual processing position, based on the accuracy of the (overhead) top camera, which is currently ±2mm and in the process of being improved.

Right arrow

  1. Click the "Precise preview" feature.

  1. Next, drag and resize the white rectangle to select your target area, then click "Capture" to scan the region, and finally hit "Confirm" to finish the precise preview.

This case will select the right arrow as the target area.

  1. Finally, verify the accuracy difference between the Full Preview (top camera) and the Precise Preview (shot stitching by the head camera).
