  1. Install the driver.

Open your computer's device manager and locate the new device.

Right-click and select the Update driver.

Select the driver file according to your computer's operating system.

If your machine belong to the AURORA Series.

Completed USB driver installation

  1. Now we can use the EZCAD_LITE for marking.

For the AURORA Series.

Open the EZCAD_LITE software on the U-disk that came with the machine.
Software path: U-disk that came with the machine >AURORA Series- Fiber & UV Laser>AURORA/AURORA Lite/AURORA PRO>Fiber/UV software > EZCAD_LITE

When the software does not display "Demo version-only for evaluation", the connection is successful.

Note: If it still shows up in demo mode, please follow the above steps to reinstall it again, if it still doesn't work after reinstallation, please contact us.

Example 2. LightBurn

3. Running the LightBurn installer.

At the last screen, check "Install EzCad2 driver"

Note: Please note that EzCad2 and LightBurn drivers may conflict, causing LightBurn driver installation to fail; be sure to uninstall the EzCad2 driver before installing the LightBurn driver.

If this box is not checked during the first installation, you can simply run the installer again, and select this box to ensure the driver is installed for use.
Windows will prompt you for permissions escalation to install it, and quickly replace the driver provided by default with one LightBurn can use to communicate with your Galvo-based laser.

Alternately, the installer for the driver is in the LightBurn files at "C:\Program Files\LightBurn\EzCad2Driver\" and can be run again via the "dpinst-x64.exe" file directly.

4. Activate the software.

Make sure your license key supports Galvo.

5. Add the New Device

5.1. Import the Device in LightBurn
Notes
For this part of the installation, you will need to plug the U-disk that came with the machine into the computer.

The .lbdev file allows customers to quickly add the machine to LightBurn. All required machine parameters are pre-configured and saved in the file before the machine leaves the factory.

We can find the .lbdev file in this path: U-disk that came with machine >AURORA Series- Fiber & UV Laser>AURORA/AURORA Lite/AURORA PRO >Communication Setting for Lightburn

Import the Device.

5.2. Create a new device in Lightburn.
Notes
For this part of the installation, you will need to plug the U-disk that came with the machine into the computer.

The EzCad Config file is machine-specific and required for the machine to work properly.

We can find the EzCad Config file in this path: U-disk that came with machine >AURORA Series- Fiber & UV Laser>AURORA/AURORA Lite/AURORA PRO>Fiber/UV software>EzCad2_LITE>plug

Cleate the Device.

When you import the correct configuration file, it will display the correct configuration summary for the machine, such as the Path to the calibration file, Laser Type, Field Size, etc.

TIP: Using multiple lenses will be a good idea to name that Device in conjunction with the associated lens.

You must create a new device for each lens because the lens correction files and calibrations differ for each optic.

6. Now we can use LightBurn for marking.

A successful connection will show Ready.

Note: If it still shows as disconnected, please follow the above steps to reinstall it, if it still doesn't work after reinstallation, please contact us.

When the software does not display "Demo version-only for evaluation", the connection is successful.

Note: If it still shows up in demo mode, please follow the above steps to reinstall it again, if it still doesn't work after reinstallation, please contact us.

Loading the COR file after above the Software setup completes

Notes
It is recommended to load the COR file again, as its path in the configuration file may not match the path on your computer, causing the field lens correction file to not be enabled.

Load the corresponding COR file according to your field lens.

COR file path: U-disk that came with the machine>AURORA/AURORA Lite/AURORA PRO>AURORA /AURORA Lite/AURORA Pro>Fiber software/UV software>Correction file.

In EzCad_LITE and EzCad3
