How to Choose the Correct Driver for Ezcad2

Problem description

When the following problems are encountered during the installation of the driver

1. The error message appears: "Windows has found drivers for the device, but encountered an error while trying to install them."

2. If the driver is not installed correctly, the computer side of the device connector, after the USB cable is plugged in, an exclamation mark logo will appear.


Solution


Different computer systems need to install the correct drivers, otherwise, EzCad2 will not work.

If you don't install the driver or install the wrong driver, EzCad2 will enter "Evaluation mode".

If installing the LMCV4 driver file does not make EzCad work properly, please install the V2 Driver driver file.

 V2 Driver: Please check the attached file. ( Unzip the file first. )



If you can't find the driver file, please send your machine serial number and problem to our email : tech@thunderlaser.com.



For some cases, it is also necessary to disable the digital signature.

1. After installing the driver, the system prompts that digital signature needs to be disabled.


2. Connect the USB cable, and the exclamation point prompt in the update device manager.



How to disable the digital signature

1. Right-click on the Start menu and select the Settings option, as shown below.


2. Select Update and Security from the Settings options, as shown below.



3. Select the Restore option from the Update and Security left menu, as shown below.

On the Recovery screen, select the advanced option - Restart now button, as shown below.



4. After the restart, the following interface selection troubleshooter appears, as shown in the following figure.


5.Select advanced Settings on the Troubleshooting screen, as shown below.


6. Select Startup Settings from the Advanced Settings screen, as shown below.


7. Select “Disable driver signature enforcement” from the startup options to disable the driver's digital signature, as shown in the figure below.


8. To disable digital signatures permanently, go to the command prompt (or win+R).


Fill in the correct instructions to disable digital signatures

To disable digital signature:
bcdedit.exe /set nointegritychecks on
at the prompt and press Enter.

To enable digital signature:
bcdedit.exe /set nointegritychecks off
press enter, as shown in the following figure.
