How to use Aurora 8 Pro 2.5D

1.Do not place anything on the platform before you start.

2.Simultaneously keep the Z-axis up and down buttons pressed and held until the auto light blinks. (Giving Z-axis control to the software)



3.Click on the “Find home” button and wait for the Galvo lens to trigger the upper limit.


4.Click again the “Find home” button ,the camera will move to the “-130” position.


5.Then open the screenshot of the U disk file origin position and focus length position and calculate the value of the focus position.
The equation is: The focus position value = The focus length position value - The origin position value + 130(The focus length position value minus The origin position value plus 130)
Screenshots of the focus length position and the origin position are on the U disk that arrived with the machine.
The path is: U disk>AURORA 8 PRO > Fiber software>Recommended focus length.
Focus length position naming consists of the machine serial number plus the lens model, the origin position name is only the machine serial number.

As shown in the image, the left is the origin position and the right is the focus length position.


6.Then fill in the focus position value on the “Distance”, click “↓” if it is negative, click “↑” if it is positive, and wait until the Galvo lens moves to the focus position.

7.Click on the “Focus Pos” button to set the current position as the focus position.


8.Click on the “3D view switching”button.


9.Click on “STL” button to open the 3d surface model and import the .stl file you want to mark.


10.Click on the “Translation surface” button and then click on the “Center” button.


File will be moved to the center.


11.Click on the “Translation surface” button again.
Please select the Z-axis top level as the zero plane, and then manually change the Z-axis position by 0 mm and click on “OK”. 


12.Click on the “Surface delamination” button and then click “< - Z” button ,fill in the thickness value.
(Thickness for each layer of the thickness of the value.When you enter the thickness of the value, the software will automatically help you calculate you now want to mark the file will be divided into several layers)

13.If the output is made into a relief engraving and the imported model is not processed, you need to do a flip process.Clicking on the “3D view switching” button.



14.Draw a shape (circle or square),make sure it can cover the entire file.




15.Click on the “Put to origin”button.

The circle will be moved to the center.


16.Click on the “ADD contour” button.


17.Click on the circle you just drew.


18.Click on the “Hatch” button then enter the parameters for marking and click on “OK”.



19.Place the material and then click on the “Fixture Offset” button to fill in the thickness of the material.


21.Click on the “Red(F1)” button for preview.



22.Click on the “Mark(F2)” button for marking.
