How to Complete the Connection Configuration for the TITAN Top Cover Camera in LightBurn Software(Temporary solution)

How to Complete the Connection Configuration for the TITAN Top Cover Camera in LightBurn Software(Temporary solution)

Preface

This guide will walk you through how to connect the top cover camera of the TITAN series equipment directly to your computer via an extension cable in LightBurn software—serving as a temporary solution to bypass the WiFi board, since LightBurn currently does not support transmitting USB camera images through the WiFi board.

Tools Required

USB adapter extension cable

Notes
If you need to use this connection method, you can purchase the cable locally or online (e.g., via Amazon) by searching for the relevant keywords.

Specific steps

  1. First, locate the top cover camera cable and the open-lid camera cable (for TITAN51/63 models only), then shield the door protection.

Open the right side door of the machine, and you will find the camera cables.

  1. Unplug the camera cable from the USB expansion board, then connect it to your computer.
    Notes
Since the original cable of the TITAN series’ top cover camera is relatively short, if the cable length is insufficient during actual operation, you can use a USB adapter extension cable to connect it.

For TITAN51/63 machine models, you must connect each top cover camera's cable to the computer individually or simply use the left or right camera, because LightBurn software does not support dual cameras yet.

Right camera

  1. Open the Lightburn software and ensure the machine and computer are successfully communicating.

For information on how to connect TITAN to a computer, please refer to this article.

  1. Finally, select your camera in the "Camera Control" panel.

Prior to using the camera, calibration is required. For dual-camera setups, each camera must be calibrated individually. Refer to this article to complete calibration.
