Factory Settings Screen

Factory Settings Screen

Preface: For machine firmware released after September 2025, the factory settings menu option exists and allows the user to adjust background machine functions and addons. Adjustments to the factory settings should only be done by trained professionals with the guidance of Technical Support.

Info
If you need to upgrade to the new firmware, after the upgrade, please check and confirm on the touch panel whether the machine has selected the corresponding functional settings. Detailed instructions are provided below.

Warning
If you make adjustments to this screen, you may be disabling features that make the machine Class I. Proceed with caution.

Walkthrough of the menu and settings available:

To access the Factory Settings:

First, on the machine touch screen, click the Menu button and then select the Factory Setting option.

You will be prompted for a password, enter  CC8888 to access the internal settings interface, as shown below:

Factory Setting Functions

Auto Focus type:

This option corresponds to the type of autofocus function on your machine:

If your machine is Titan / NOVA PRO, please select the “Taper focus”.
If your machine is from the
Bolt Series, please select the “Touch rod focus”.

WIFI card:

This option affects the display content on the Internet interface.

If “Yes” is selected, the following content will be displayed, showing three different connection methods:

If “No” is selected, the following content will be displayed, showing one connection method:

For the Titan series, select "Yes".
For the
Bolt / NOVA PRO series, select "No".

InfoNote: Because the Bolt series does not have a wifi card installed, it will not support a WIFI connection, even if "Yes" is checked, it cannot connect to the computer via WIFI.

Info
Note: For Titan Series, if you select No Wifi, the laser machine screen will show a different IP address. It will be the IP address of the DSP controller, instead of the Wifi Board's IP and connection to the machine will not be achievable over wifi/ethernet.

Door cover protection type:

Warning
Improper modification of the value will affect the Class 1 machine rating. You must select XYZ to maintain Class I rating

"No": When the door cover is open, the XYZ axes can all be moved manually.

"XY": When the door cover is opened, the XY axes are not allowed to move. In this state, pressing any movement button of the XY axes will trigger a machine protection prompt.

"XYZ": When the door cover is opened, the XYZ axes are not allowed to move. In this state, pressing any movement button of the XYZ axes will trigger a machine protection prompt. (Required for Class I)

For the Bolt series, Titan series, and NOVA PRO series, the factory‑default setting is "No". With this setting, the machine complies with Class II requirements at maximum.

InfoWe recommend users keep the setting at "XYZ" to ensure maximum safety.

Blow aid:

This is for the Air Assist function of the laser, Single Air vs Dual air.

If there is a Dual Air Assist Control panel installed on the left side of the machine, please select the "Double blow";

If there is no such panel, please select the "Single blow".

Laser condition detection:

Fault input detection from the RF Laser tube to the Laser Machine Controller

It is used to detect whether the laser function is normal. If the RF laser tube is abnormal, a fault pop-up window will be prompted.

"Open" is checked by default for all models.

Do not move the Z-axis when the front cover is Open/closed:

Warning
Improper modification of the value will affect the Class 1 machine rating. You must select Open to maintain Class I rating

Only applicable to the Titan and NOVA PRO series, the default setting is "Close"; We recommend users keep the setting at "Open" to ensure maximum safety. When you need to adjust the optical path during maintenance mode, you may temporarily switch the option to "Close".

InfoThis option is not enabled for the Bolt series, and "Close" is checked by default.

Laser type:

The Titan Pro features a dual source configuration, while the Titan, Bolt, and NOVA PRO are single source models.

Laser source type selection should be based on your machine model:
For Bolt Series, Titan, and NOVA PRO: select Single source.
For
Titan Pro, select Dual source.

Shutter status detection

Warning
Improper modification of the value will affect the Class 1 machine rating. You must select Open to maintain Class I rating

For machines with the Shutter, this option needs to be selected as "Open".

For machines without the Shutter, select "Close".

Info
The Shutter is an optional mechanical barrier that automatically closes when the machine is idle or any door is open, further ensuring operator safety by physically blocking any unintended laser emission.

For the THUNDER laser machine, this device is installed at the front end of the laser tube, as shown in the figure below.

Bolt Series:

Titan Series:

NOVA PRO Series:

InfoNote: For machines without the Shutter, selecting "Open" will not enable it, and this function will not take effect.

Suction status detection

Among current Thunder Laser machines, only the TITAN series is equipped with a suction platform.

For the Titan series, select "Yes".
For the
Bolt / NOVA PRO series, select "No".

Notes
For information on using the suction platform, you can refer to this article.

Machine Type selection

This option corresponds to the type of your machine.

For the Titan series, select "Titan".
For the
Bolt series, select "Bolt".
For the NOVA PRO series, select "Nova Pro"

Driver modification parameters

When set to Open, the X‑axis driver will switch between different parameter sets for engraving and cutting operations.

For the NOVA PRO series, select "Open".
For the
