Calibrating Focus Length for the Aurora Series

1. Set the Marking Object and Marking Parameters

Draw a 10 x 10 mm square and set the parameters for the brightest beam during engraving.

We use the laser software EzCad2 for the demo.

Below are the recommended parameters for the Q-switch 50W laser as a reference.



2. Continuous Marking on the Material

Stainless steel is recommended because the bright light produced by the beam is easier to observe during engraving.

Aurora 8 and 8 pro

a. Before the start, connect the TLTool and the Data settings are as follows.

The Actual Focal shifts as the Galvo moves.

b. Place the material under the Auto Focus Red Light on the work table and ensure that the marking is on the material.



c. Continuous marking.


Once calibration is complete, ensure continuous marking is disabled.



Aurora LITE

a. Ensure the material is flat and securely placed on the work table and that the marking is on the material.



b. Continuous marking.


Once calibration is complete, ensure continuous marking is disabled.

3. Move Galvo to Find the Brightest Location

Press the Up and Down button to move the Galvo.




Observe the location where the beam is brightest.


After observing the brightest location, stop marking and keep the Galvo stationary.


4. Set the Focal Length

Aurora 8 and 8 PRO

Fill in the Actual focal to the Focal length, then click the Send.



Successful:



After completing the settings, press the AF button on the control panel to verify the modified actual focal length is correct.


Aurora LITE

Manual Focus Tool

Each field lens comes with a manual focusing tool, select the corresponding tool according to the text above the field lens.



a. Attach the corresponding manual focus tool to the holder.



b. Loosen the bolt and adjust the length of the metal bar until the other end touches the material.



Dual Red Light Focus

a. Loosen the two screws and adjust the red light pointers to re-align the red light dots.



b. Until the two red dots merge into one, then relock the screws.
