Y-axis not moving at all for Bolt series

Reasons

Y-axis Limit switch failure

Solution:

  1. Check the appearance of the limit switch.
    a. If there is damage to the appearance.
    For example, if the rocker of the limit switch is bent and damaged, please try to see if it can be repaired.

    If this cannot be repaired, please contact us: tech@thunderlaser.com

    b. If there is no visible damage to the exterior, go to the next step.


  1. Please open the diagnostic program to test.
    Steps to open the diagnostic program: Click the Menu >> Diagnostic

a. If the Y-rear limit in the diagnostic program does not light on when the limit switch is closed, reinsert the limit switch cable.

If the Y-rear limit in the diagnostic program does not light on when the limit switch is closed after re-plugging the cables tightly and confirming that the connections are correct.

b. If the X-left limit in the diagnostics program lights up normally when the limit switch is closed, please go to the next step.

Solution:

Re-plug the signal cable between the motor and the driver.




If your machine is a Bolt Pro 22/32, you'll need to remove the housing by unlocking the five screws first to find the Y-axis motor.
