How to Replace USB Expansion Board for Thunder Bolt

Preface: Switch off the machine and unplug it from the wall before starting replacement.

Detailed steps：

1. Finding the USB Expansion Board First

It is located on the right side of the machine.

2. Remove and Install

Tools Needed:

M2 Screwdriver	M2.5 Screwdriver

Start by powering off the machine and unplugging it from the wall power.

Remove these 4 Screws to Remove the interface board

Unplug the three cables from the USB Expansion Board.

It can be removed using a M2.5 screwdriver.

Note: Please take care to remember the corresponding positions of these three cable insertions. You can take a picture of it before you pull it out.

Remove these 4 screws to remove the USB Expansion Borad

Remove the old USB Expansion Board and

install the new one

It can be removed using a M2 screwdriver.

Make sure that the USB Expansion Board connector is facing upwards and that the PC connector is in the middle of the square notch in the sheet.

Note : Make sure that the four holes of the USB Expansion Board are aligned with the four copper post holes underneath.

Finally, secure the USB Expansion Board with screws and connect the three cables back to the USB Expansion Board in turn. And use screw to secure the interface board to the machine again.
