Installation Procedure:
1. Machine Installation
1.1. Installation Preparation

- Remove all components of the Thunder CO2 Galvo machine from the packaging box.
- Including the Work-Table, the Tower, the Galvo Head&Laser Source, the Controller Case, the Signal Cable, the Power Cord, and the Tool Bag.

1.2. Install the Tower

- Install the Tower onto the Work-Table in the correct orientation, as below.
Note: The Tower is pre-installed with the Controller Case and Laser Source mounting holder. |  |
Note: Before tightening the four M8 screws, make sure that the edge surface of the Tower is fully aligned with the edge surface of the Work-Table. |  |
1.3. Install the Controller Case

- Install the Controller Case onto the holder and securely tighten the four M5 mounting screws.
WARAM: There are non-removable connection cables between the Controller Case and the Laser Source, so they must be moved together to avoid cable strain or damage.

1.4. Install the Galvo Head&Laser Source.
1.5. Connect the Power Cord and the Z-axis Signal Cable.

2. Software installation
To provide greater flexibility, Thunder Laser systems support multiple software solutions. The instructions below introduce 2 compatible software options (EzCad 2 and LightBurn).
You may choose the software that best matches your application needs and working preferences. In most cases, only one software package is needed for normal machine operation.
2.1. Connect the machine to the PC

- Connect the machine to the PC by USB cable.
Note: Before installing the driver or using the software, make sure the computer is connected to the machine and the machine is powered on; otherwise, the computer will not be able to recognize the machine/device.

2.2. Install the Driver

- For Thunder CO2 Galvo machines, two recommended software programs are EzCad2 and LightBurn.
- LightBurn and EzCad2 drivers cannot be installed on the same computer at the same time; only one of them can be used.
Be sure to uninstall the EzCad2 driver (if it has been installed) before installing the LightBurn driver, vice versa.

2.2.1. Install the Ezcad2 Driver
2.2.2. Install the LightBurn Driver
2.3. Uninstall the Driver
Note: LightBurn and EzCad2 drivers cannot be installed on the same computer at the same time; only one of them can be used.
Be sure to uninstall the EzCad2 driver before installing the LightBurn driver.
If one driver has already been installed, the driver for the other software cannot be installed successfully.

- Uninstall the EzCad driver
- Check the Delete the driver software for this device

- Uninstall the LightBurn driver
- Check the Delete the driver software for this device

2.4. Open the Software
2.4.1. Open the EzCad2

- Open the EzCad2.
Note: The EzCad2 software is stored on the included USB drive.
Software path: U-disk that came with the machine>>Thunder CO2 Galvo>>Laser software>>EZCAD_LITE

- When the software does not display "Demo version-only for evaluation", the connection is successful.
|

- Open the LightBurn
|

|
- Create a new device in Lightburn:
Click the Devices>> Create Manually>>JCZFiber>>

- Import EZCad Config
We can find the EzCad Config file in this path: U-disk that came with the machine>>Thunder CO2 Galvo>>Laser software>>EZCAD_LITE>>plug>>markcfg7

- Finish creating the device
- A successful connection will show Ready
| 
|
- Loading the correction file:
Click the Device Settings>>Load COR file - Select the COR file
We can find the COR file in this path: U-disk that came with the machine>>Thunder CO2 Galvo>>Laser software>>Correction file
