Distortion and Incorrect Size for AURORA

Distortion and Incorrect Size for AURORA

Preface: After importing the field lens correction file in the software, the contents of the machine's correct focal length engraving appear to be distorted or incorrect size.

Problem Description

1. Distortion

a. The line in the software is straight, but the actual markings are not straight, distortion occurs.

Reason:

The invalid COR file path, no COR file in the corresponding path.

Solution:

Ensure that the file path is correct and that there is a COR file in the path.

Note: If the software is EzCad, it will prompt the error message “Can not open correct file”, LightBurn will not have any error message.

b. Distortion of the corner of the Marking

Reason:

Designed to be larger than the standard format of the field lens or placed close to the edge of the work area.

Solution:

Design according to the actual specifications of the field lens (e.g. 150x150 mm for F-210), avoiding the use of areas beyond the standard format.

2. Incorrect Size

Reason:

COR files have dimensional errors.

Solution:

Measure the actual size and fill in the “Measured Size”.

This process needs to be repeated until the size of the content design matches the actual size.

Note: This feature is only available in LightBurn when the COR file is loaded, EzCad can not modify the scale.

Relevant methodology

1. Re-generate the COR File

If none of the above solves the problem, use the CorFile2 program to recalibrate the field lens and generate a COR file.

  1. Using the measuring tool, measure the coordinates of numbers 1-9, fill them in, and click OK.
